If you had met them five years ago you’d never guess they would become the owners of an RV Park in the heart of the Texas desert.
They never had big plans to live and travel in the RV, it just gradually happened. When it came time to renew the lease on their small apartment, they knew city living wasn’t the long-term plan. Why not travel? “Let's try it for a few months and the worst case scenario is we go back to apartment life.” That few months turned into three years packed with millions of memories!
On the journey they found Terlingua. Their paradise!
The first time Allison and Chris visited Terlingua they knew it was something special. As they traveled, the Big Bend Region was always in the back of their minds and they made plans to keep coming back. They visited every winter during the three years of being on the road, extending the stay each time.
The second year visiting Terlingua they started searching for land and found the perfect location right in town with incredible views of Bee Mountain.
Their intent was to build a little casita but as they thought more they realized that they wanted to share the beauty and magic of the area with other explorers, adventurers, and travelers. There is a never ending list of places all around to explore; Big Bend National park entrance 4 miles away, Big Bend Ranch State Park entrance 15 miles away, Terlingua ghost town 5 miles away.
They can’t wait for you to come visit and fall in love with this little town in Texas!
